Description
Wern Bridge is a typical overbridge that dates back to the opening of the canal in 1797. It is constructed from cemented red brick, with some later patching, and features chamfered stone cappings. The bridge has a single elliptical arch, with arching band courses leading to ramped parapets that end in brick piers. The stonework along the edge of the towpath is also notable.
