Outer Gateway , Walls, and Outbuilding at Stable Courtyard to Stanage Park

The Outer Gateway, Walls, and Outbuilding at the Stable Courtyard to Stanage Park is a Grade II listed structure designed in a picturesque castle style. It features a coursed rubble Tudor arched gateway flanked by battlemented towers, with the northern tower being cylindrical and the southern tower square. There are two stair lights in the cylindrical tower. Above the chamfered arch, which is adorned with voussoirs, are crow-stepped battlements, and a shield that may have been reset reads "CR MDCCCVII."

Attached to the gateway are screen walls that extend in five directions. To the west, there is a coursed rubble wall leading to the gateway, complete with framing piers. To the east, a wall with a stepped parapet connects to the south end of the main house and features a small letter box marked with the initials ER VII. There is a plain rubble screen wall to the north, a small screen wall to the south-east, and a higher screen wall to the south-west.

Additionally, there is a two-storey outbuilding constructed of coursed rubble with a slate roof, featuring an outer crow-stepped gable and a plain gable at the rear. A further single-storey rubble outbuilding is located on the north side of the stable courtyard.
