Description
Glascoed is an early 17th-century farmhouse that features a timber frame with whitewashed walls and a slate roof. It has a 'T'-shaped plan, consisting of a two-bay main range with an entrance lobby on the west gable stack, and a one-bay rear block.
The timber framing is closely studded and includes a mid-wall bressumer. There is a four-panelled boarded door in the west bay, topped with a gabled hood. The windows are two-light with overlights and have moulded architraves. The east gable is bracketed and features decorative raking struts to the queen posts, along with two tiers of purlins. The west gable end is made of stone and includes the main stack, as well as a large external stack with four offsets, capped in brick, on the east gable.
Inside, the lobby leads to the main living room, which has a ceiling divided by chamfered cross beams into six compartments. The rear bays have been divided off, and there is a panelled door against the front wall leading to an inner room at the east end.
