Description
Elan Valley Lodge is a building designed in the Arts & Crafts style. It features brown rubble construction with bathstone dressings and a slate roof. The main block includes mullioned windows and a louvred ventilator topped with a pyramidal roof and pinnacle. The roof is half-hipped, with 3-light mullioned windows at the ends, and it slopes down at the sides over additional 3-light windows. Between these windows, there are three tall gables with large mullioned and transomed windows. To the left, there is a lower block with a gable at the front, and to the right, there are single-storey blocks. The rear of the building has three large gables with tall windows. To the right of the main block stands a tower with a saddleback roof, featuring a louvred camber-headed opening at the front, a bathstone panel below with a shield, and three-light louvred openings on the sides.
