Description
Foyce is a two-storey building with a contemporary single-storey rear section that has a catslide roof, which has been raised. The exterior features neat coursed rubble stone blocks, a hipped slate roof, deep boxed eaves, and two large rubble end stacks, with the left stack projecting. There is a modern porch to the right of the centre and three windows with modern casements in original openings that have flat voussoir heads.
Inside, there is a large central staircase hall, with a former kitchen to the right that has numerous ceiling hooks, and a parlour to the left. The rear section contains a dairy, backstairs, and granary. The main staircase is of good quality, featuring a closed string, turned balusters, and a moulded handrail. The underside is boarded and incorporates a cupboard with H/L hinges. The partition walls are made of thick studs, with boxed beams and some flagstone floors. Most doors are boarded, with the principal bedroom door having raised and fielded panels, H/L hinges, an original wooden lock, and a brass loop catch.
