Description
Little Cwm Llechwedd is a 2-storey, 2-window farmhouse built of rubble stone, with the front rendered. It features a slate roof and a brick stack positioned towards the left end. The main entrance consists of a boarded door aligned with the stack, while an additional entrance on the left has a timber-framed and weatherboarded wall, with a replaced boarded door leading to a hearth passage. The windows have been replaced in 19th-century openings. The rear of the house has a collapsed lean-to.
Attached to the left (downhill) end of the house is a lower cow house, which has the same roofline as the original house. This structure is made of rubble stone with a weatherboarded loft, topped by a steep corrugated iron roof. It features a single boarded door to the right of center, and the wall to the right is clad in corrugated iron. Above this, there is a raked loft dormer with a shutter. The gable end is also covered in corrugated iron, with a shuttered loft opening. At the rear, there is a lean-to made of blockwork and corrugated iron.
Although not inspected, it is reported by RCAHM Wales that the building retains four cruck trusses.
