Description
The monument in the churchyard of Llanfihangel Abergwesyn is a tall, tapering Celtic cross made of red-brown cast concrete. The east and west faces feature interlace work with margin drafting, displaying different designs on each side. The ends of the cross's arms also have similar decorative elements. The north and south sides of the shaft are divided into three vertical panels, with the central panels displaying coats of arms that are partly eroded. The north panel includes the dates 1808 and 1863 along with the initials H and T, while the south panel features the letters E, L, and T, along with the dates 18(..) and 18(.)4. The cross is set on a plinth that is level with the ground, and the south side of the plinth is engraved with the maker's name, 'Jones, Cardiff'.
