Description
Cabalva Farm Farmhouse is a late-Georgian, three-storey farmhouse featuring a hipped roof with slightly swept eaves and stone end chimney stacks. The front is attractively symmetrical, constructed from coursed stone with end pilaster strips. Each floor has tripartite sash windows with voussoirs. The central entrance boasts a fluted doorcase with deep reveals and panelled double doors, topped by an elegantly traceried fanlight.
At the rear, there is an added lean-to that includes modern alterations; one lateral chimney has been retained while another chimney breast has been cut down. A red brick garden wall is attached, and some cobbling remains in the rear yard.
Inside, the farmhouse retains original features such as contemporary chimneypieces, panelled doors with well-crafted doorcases, panelled shutters, and a central well staircase.
