Description

The entrance gatepiers and walls to Glan-Honddu are constructed from rusticated sandstone and date from the 19th century. The gate piers feature a moulded plinth, frieze, moulded cornice, flat cap, and a moulded pedestal above. Each side has a raised rusticated cylindrical inner gatepost. The single wooden gate is not original. The double curved low walls are made of rock-faced rusticated stone, complete with a moulded plinth and moulded coping. The outer piers are similar to the main piers but are shorter in height.
