Description
Brook Cottage was built around 1860 by the Naylor Estate of Brynllywarch. The cottage is constructed of brick, featuring rock-faced stone quoins that end with a shaped capital, and heavy stone lintels and sills around the openings. The first-floor windows are adorned with a moulded stone cornice supported by brackets. The eaves and verges have brick dentils. The building has two storeys and three bays, with a symmetrical front that includes a four-panelled door set off-centre and a paned overlight above it. The windows are sixteen-paned sashes, and there are two brick chimney stacks. The property was not accessible during the inspection in January 1996.
