3 Springfield including Glanmiheli with garden and yard walls

3 Springfield, including Glanmiheli, is a group of six symmetrical two-storey dwellings built in Flemish bond brickwork with rock-faced quoins and a slate roof. The buildings feature heavy stone lintels and sills at the openings, stone kneelers, and coped gables topped with finials. The end houses are designed in 'L' and 'T' plans, with wings that extend forward to enclose the four intermediate cottages, each consisting of two bays, a lateral stair hall, and front and back rooms. The doors are boarded with applied moulded strips and plain overlights, although two doors have been replaced. The windows are 16-pane sashes, while the end houses have similar windows and boarded doors. Brick stacks are present on the roofs.

In front of each house, there is a brick-walled garden, with the walls typically standing 10 courses high and rounded at the entrance gate. The end houses have higher garden walls, measuring 14½ courses, with well-rounded corners.

At the rear, some houses have been painted, and No. 4 features a two-storey 20th-century extension. Behind the houses, there are service yards enclosed by a continuously coped brick wall, with openings leading to the service road. The yards contain brick outhouses that are set on and parallel to the wall.
