Description
26 Great Oak Street is a two-storey building with a two-window red brick front and stock brick dressings. It features a slate roof with cresting and a brick chimney stack on the right side, while the left side has had its chimney removed. The building has pilasters at both ends and in the center, along with a dentil cornice. The windows are six-pane sash types with classical architraves made of brick pilasters and freestone lintels and cills. The original shop fronts are intact, showcasing fluted fascia ends and fluted pilasters, including one in the center. The shop window for No 25 is broad, featuring a six-pane sash design, an iron ventilation panel, and half fixed glazed four-pane windows, along with a panelled stallriser.
