Description
Dresden House is a pair of low, two-storey structures dating from the 19th century, featuring two-window colourwashed fronts, with No 28 being broader than No 27. They have a stepped plinth and a slate roof, while No 28 is daubed with pitch and has a higher cross range at the rear. The first floor of No 27 has 9 and 12-pane sash windows, although the glazing bars have been removed from the sashes of No 28. The left side of the front of No 27 includes a simple shop front with pilasters flanking a 4-pane window and a half-glazed door next to a sash window, all set under cambered voussoirs. No 28 features an overall shop front with a cornice and pilasters, along with a panelled flanking modern door. The front steps back to the right, leading to another half-glazed door. Both buildings have gable-ended extensions at the rear, which have undergone modern alterations.
