Description
27 Great Oak Street is a pair of low, two-storey buildings with two-window fronts that are colourwashed, with No 28 being broader. They feature a stepped plinth and a slate roof, while No 28 is covered with pitch and has a higher cross range at the rear. The first floor of No 27 has 9 and 12-pane sash windows, although the glazing bars have been removed from the sashes of No 28. The left side of No 27 has a simple shop front with pilasters flanking a 4-pane window and a half-glazed door next to a sash window, all set under cambered voussoirs. No 28 has a more elaborate shop front with a cornice and pilasters, alongside a panelled modern door. The front steps of No 27 step back to the right, leading to another half-glazed door. Both buildings have gable-ended extensions at the rear, which have undergone modern alterations.
