Description
Bank Cottage is a semi-detached cottage dating from the 19th century. It features a timber-framed structure with whitewashed brick panels set on a rubble stone plinth, topped with a slate roof and a renewed brick ridge stack located between the two cottages. The front facade consists of three bays, including a gabled center bay and a right bay with a doorway situated between them. The framing is square, comprising 4 by 7 panels, each with a thin central upright. The upper floor has pairs of leaded casement windows, while the lower floor features leaded cross-windows with iron opening lights. The gable above the left window is shallow and adorned with 19th-century bargeboards and a finial. In front of the doorway, there is a glazed timber porch with a slate roof, bargeboards, and a finial, leading to a ledged door within a frame. The roof slopes down low at the rear over an outshut. Inside, the south ground floor room has exposed beams and joists, and the north room also features an exposed beam.
