Description

This is a cottage, dating to the mid-17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It was originally timber-framed, and is now faced with whitewashed brick. The roof is covered with pantiles, and there are single ridge and right-hand gable whitewashed stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of four bays. The front has a 20th-century door, and to the right, a small, fixed light. A lean-to porch with a 20th-century door is set into the left side wall, with a matching casement window to the right of the porch. Further right is a single casement window. Above, there are two similar casements, with a smaller, central casement, and a single, plain casement on the far right. The left-hand gable wall retains remains of three posts and a tie beam. Inside, there is a bressumer fireplace.
