Description

Whitelands Farmhouse and No. 2 Main Road is a house and adjoining farmhouse that has been converted into a single residence. The buildings date from the late 18th century and early 19th century, with No. 2 being an early 19th-century house. The structure is built of red brick and features a slate roof that is hipped to the left with an eaves overhang. There are red brick stacks at both the left and right gables. The building has two storeys and three bays, with a central doorway that includes a trellis porch and a panelled door. On either side of the doorway are single sash windows, and above are three similar sash windows, all of which are set under segmental arches.

Attached to the right is the 18th-century farmhouse, also constructed of red brick, with a plain tile roof and a red brick stack at the right gable. This farmhouse features dentil eaves and has two storeys with three bays. It includes a single small glazing bar casement on the ground floor, a single smaller casement to the right, and a larger casement to the left, all under segmental arches. Above these are two casements.
