Description

Barn Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage built with rubble stonework that was once whitewashed, topped with a stone slate roof. The cottage has two bays, featuring a living room with an external gable stack and a service room at the northern end. The central entrance has a boarded door, and there are timber 4-pane casement windows, all with timber lintels. At the uphill end, there is an added lean-to that is slightly set back, which contains a storeroom and features a boarded door and a corrugated asbestos roof. At the rear, there is one small window serving the upper end room. Inside, a matchboarded draught screen protects the living room from the door.
