Description
Tanyrardd is a cottage that has been constructed from rubble stone and is whitewashed on the front. It features a roof made of large slates and has stone end-wall stacks with dripstones and pyramid capping, including a large square stack on the left end. The cottage is single storey and double fronted, with 20th-century plate glass windows in the original openings and a 20th-century stable door. Previous windows, noted in 1971, included one sash and one casement. There is a lean-to on the left end with an asbestos-sheet roof, made of rubble stone, which has one window and a full-height door.
The interior retains elements of the original layout, although there is a modern partial partition that follows the line of an original partition. This divides the interior into a principal heated room and a smaller room located under the surviving croglofft. The main room features a stone chimney breast with a timber beam spanning the original opening, which has been reduced with a later fireplace inserted.
