Description

Forward gable has close studding to ground floor and diagonal bracing to upper floor and gable. Later entrance in re-entrant angle, a boarded door. Timber and some PVC windows. E gable of brick with lean-to to ground floor containing present entrance. Central brick stack. The W wall of the forward parlour rebuilt c.1992.

Hall-kitchen to right of original lobby entry has 2 longitudinal chamfered beams. Reworked front parlour on left has twin deep chamfered spine beams and chamfered and stopped joists. Bolection moulded door and a C17 fielded-panel corner cupboard with arched doors and cyma cornice, and shaped internal shelves. Unusual Art-nouveau chimneypiece with repouss_e copper panels. Original stair to rear of stack replaced. Added room has high ceiling with chamfered spine beam and joists, and a gable fireplace with another early C20 surround, the stack removed. The front chamber over the parlour has straight windbraces to purlin and wall plate. Scratch moulded door.
