Description
Bodlondeb is a 3-storey building with a 3-window rubble frontage, featuring broadly spaced windows. It has an undulating slate roof and a large chimney breast on the right gable end, which includes a rubble stack and weathercoursing, while a modern brick stack is located at the left end. The building has 12-pane sash windows that decrease in size as they rise, with the ground floor windows almost flush to the wall, and all are topped with stone lintels. The central entrance features a 6-panel door with a diamond traceried overlight above. The left gable end is leaning and made of rubble. At the rear, there is a full-height lean-to with some small pane sashes, some of which are boarded up. There is also a 19th-century gabled brick cross range, which originally extended further, and it contains one boarded-up oriel window.
Inside, the building retains its original dog-leg staircase, which has a scrolled newel post, turned balusters with annulettes, a moulded handrail, and S-shaped tread ends. A dado rail runs opposite the balustrade, and there are 6-panel doors throughout. The building was noted to be in poor condition during an internal inspection in August 1989.
