Description

Nos.1 & 2 Glandwr, with walled and railed forecourt A pair of semi-detached two-window, two-storey cottages, in red brick, the left cottage in light red colour, the right cottage in a darker red. The front of the left cottage is very slightly asymmetric, but carefully proportioned with the lower windows very slightly larger than the windows above: again, almost imperceptibly. The left cottage is also framed by shallow pilasters. The right cottage is less subtly detailed. Random slate roofs in graded courses, tile ridge; end chimneys and one mid chimney, all in brick. Similar door casings: broad shallow pilasters with a key design, carrying a plain frieze and cornice; small overlight with glazing bars in brick-bond pattern.

Window openings with cambered arches in common brick and with stone sills. Hornless 16-pane sash windows. Four-panel semi-glazed door. Brick and stone front wall to small forecourt, with iron railings and centre gate.
