Description
Eric Williams & Son is a three-storey building with a four-window front, canted at a corner site. It features painted English garden wall bond brickwork and a slate roof that is hipped towards Short Bridge Street. The building has deep boarded eaves and a brick stack with a later cap. On the second floor, there are shallow six-pane sash windows under the eaves, while the first floor has a shallow upper sash above a nine-pane window facing Short Bridge Street, along with an adjoining tier of dummy windows. The windows are framed with gauged brick voussoirs and plain reveals.
On the first floor, there are two Victorian canted oriel bay windows on The Bank side. The shop front on Short Bridge Street is plain, featuring a blind box and a name board, with a recessed doorway to the right. The domestic elevation facing The Bank includes a gabled hood on brackets above the doorcase, which has a panelled door, and a twelve-pane sash window to the right.
