Description
BJ's Electrical is a building constructed in Flemish bond brick with freestone dressings and a plinth, featuring a plastered ground floor. It has a low half-hipped slate roof with corniced verges. The building is topped with a pierced trefoil parapet and gabled finials at each end, which are supported by truncated half colonettes with capitals. The second floor has three pointed arches for windows, each adorned with hoods, an impost band, and pierced quatrefoils in the tympani. Additional architectural details include nookshafts, rusticated quoins, and a sill band. The windows are Victorian sashes, with tripartite windows on the first floor to the left featuring similar detailing but with cambered arches, and a single light window to the right that lacks quatrefoils. There is a tripartite bar-room window on the ground floor to the left, also with cambered hoods and heads, using plate glass. A former doorway to the right has Caernarfon arches, and there is a canted corner to the left below a moulded corbel. A carriageway is located at the extreme right, featuring a keystoned cambered arch with rusticated plaster voussoirs. At the rear of the building is the former Angel Brewery.
