Description
Pont-y-Ffatri is a bridge featuring two elliptical arches, each with a span of approximately 12 metres and a rise of about 5 metres. Constructed from grey limestone with a coursed and slightly rock-faced finish, the bridge's voussoirs are broad, rusticated, and about 600mm deep. Each arch is topped with a larger keystone on both faces, which extends up to a large string-course at the base of the parapet. There is a cutwater on the upstream side of the central pier only.
The carriageway measures around 5 metres in width, flanked by parapets that are about 1.2 metres high on each side. The parapets slightly flare out at each of the four corners.
