Description
Tan-y-ffridd is a red-brick farmhouse that stands two storeys tall with an attic and features a steeply pitched roof along with brick end chimneys. The design is notably regular and symmetrical. The roof has been relaid with single-pitch tiles. At the back, there is a single-storey wing with a hipped roof made from similar materials, and an open-fronted rear porch located at the right angle of the wing.
The brickwork is laid in Flemish Bond, showcasing rubbed brick flat arches that are four and three courses high at the front. The windows are timber mullion and transom types, fitted with small pane iron casements and stone sills. The front door is panelled and flush, topped with a five-pane rectangular overlight. Each gable end features two small attic windows, and there is one rear upper window that matches the front windows, also with a rubbed-brick flat arch.
The farmhouse has a symmetrical layout, with the kitchen positioned on the left side.
