Description
Henllan is a house located downslope, with its north gable facing the road. Much of the exterior has been rebuilt or repaired using modern materials, but timber framing remains on the east side, resting on a rubble stonework plinth. Other sides are finished in brick, rendered, or sheeted, topped with an artificial slate roof that includes rooflights and two dormers on the east side, along with a small brick chimney.
The house consists of four units and features a large inserted chimney positioned centrally. To the south, there is a hall and inner rooms separated by post and panel partitioning, while the north side contains an early cross passage and a large outer room currently used for farming purposes. Three crucks are visible on the ground floor, and there may be more upstairs, although they are boxed in. The Royal Commission has noted features such as open-roof timbering with gable smoke vents, signs of a dais canopy, and a timber-framed fireplace with post and panel partitioning at its rear, which forms the inner service rooms at the lower end.
