Description
Heniarth Mill is a three-storey mill built at right angles to the millstream from the Afon Banwy, with an adjoining three-storey miller's house on the west side facing north. There is also a shed, which has been raised to two storeys, forming the east wing of the mill. The building is constructed of slatey stone with limestone quoins, featuring slate roofs with tile ridges and a central chimney on the house. The stonework of the mill differs from that of the house, suggesting that they may not have been built at the same time.
The north gable elevation of the mill features modern doors at the ground and first storeys, with a casement window located high in the gable above a date stone. The door and window openings are adorned with stone arches.
The front elevation of the house consists of a two-window range, with mullion windows on the top storey and mullion and transom windows on the ground and first storeys, all with cambered brick window heads. There is a glazed porch from the 19th or 20th century on a red brick plinth at the front door.
The shed on the left has been recently enlarged and includes a boarded door at the front.
