Description
The Brewhouse at Aberllech is a 19th-century structure built from whitewashed rubble stone and topped with a slate roof. It features a ground floor and a loft. The building has a single central door with a cambered head that faces the main house. On the left end wall, there are external stone steps leading to a loft door, while the right end wall has a renewed window with a timber lintel. The rear of the building includes two windows with oak lintels on the ground floor and three modern roof lights.
Inside, the ground floor boasts a remarkable stone kiln designed for heating the malting floor above. The kiln has a square base with a metal door leading to the fireplace, and the upper part flares out on all four sides in a bell curve up to the ceiling. The loft floor originally had perforated tiles over the kiln, which have since been covered. On the ground floor's left side, there is a fireplace with a timber lintel. The roof is supported by heavy pegged collar trusses.
