Description
This is a 2-storey circular small agricultural building with a conical roof, constructed from purple rubble stone that is randomly coursed. The roof is covered with stone tiles and features framing for a cupola at the apex, although this detail is now lost.
On the north side, there is an upper door that is elevated above ground level, featuring a plain boarded door and a head at eaves level. The east side has a lower door with a segmental head. The building is set within a rubble-walled enclosure that extends to the east, south, and southwest.
Inside, there is a timber floor at an elevated level, which is now partially lost, along with beam sockets and scarcement. The upper level has a low horizontal band of evenly spaced square sockets, which may have been used for nesting boxes. The roof structure includes crossed joints, a ring purlin, and common rafters.
