Description

The outbuilding range at Ynysclydach is a structure made of rubble stone with slate roofs, dating from 1821. The barn section features two tall entrances set in projecting porches, with roofs that extend down over them. The left porch has a roof that angles to the range at right angles. There are two square vent holes located between the porches, with one positioned to the right of the right porch. The north end wall displays square holes in the gable arranged in three tiers, along with a date plaque stating 'Erected by R. & S. Jeffreys 1821'.

The rear of the building includes two low lean-to porches, covered with corrugated iron roofing, and there is a lean-to on the south end also featuring a corrugated iron roof. The range that runs at right angles is lofted, with a roof made of corrugated iron and asbestos sheets at the front, and slate and asbestos sheets at the rear. The north front has a loft door to the left of center, a boarded loft window to the left, and another loft window at the extreme right.

On the ground floor, there are four doors with stone voussoirs; the leftmost door has been converted into a window. Between this door and the next is an inserted door with a brick head. There are further similar doors to the right, with the second door aligned under the right loft window. The left end of the building has stone outside steps leading to the loft door, with a lean-to positioned to the left of the steps. The gable is clad in asbestos sheet, and traces of whitewash can be seen over all the facades. The interior has not been inspected.
