Description
Mary's Salon is a three-storey building constructed of red brick and sandstone rubble, topped with a hipped slate roof featuring red ridge tiles and brick chimneys. The Church Street side has a two-window elevation, with the ground floor made of sandstone rubble, which includes a later door on the left and a later porch on the right. The upper floors are red brick, adorned with a dentilled eaves cornice. The first floor has camber-headed 9-pane sash windows, while the second floor features 6-pane sash windows. On the High Street side, the ground floor is rendered and includes a shop front on the right, with a canopy that has a slate roof extending the length of the elevation. Each upper floor has one blocked window on the left, and on the right, there are casement windows. The rear of the building is made of sandstone rubble and has openings from various periods.
