Description
The Former House at The Groves is a two-storey building with a loft, constructed from red brick and featuring a steeply pitched slate roof. It has a brick plinth and five bays. The elevation facing the yard has openings that have been altered and date from the 18th and 19th centuries, but the remains of mullioned windows are still visible on both floors. There is a single light window, slightly off-centre next to the current door, which may have originally served as a fire window. The elevation facing the road is mostly hidden by a lean-to shed, where similar window openings can be seen.
Inside, the building retains some heavy chamfered beams and possibly original purlins in the roof.
