Description
Cobham Cottage is a 1-storey building with an attic, constructed with a combination of render on brick and a timber frame. The left-hand return elevation shows visible scribing, and the structure features a stone plinth, a slate roof adorned with red ridge tiles, and a rendered chimney located on the left side. The central entrance is accentuated by a gabled porch, with one 20th-century window on each side. There are low brick extensions on both sides, with the right-side extension likely dating from the 18th century. A heavy post can be seen on the right-hand return elevation.
At the rear, the cottage displays exposed brickwork that indicates at least two phases of construction due to the successive rebuilding of the timber frame, along with two windows, one of which is blocked. The interior consists of two rooms per floor, one featuring a heavy chamfered beam and a wide fireplace, with a simple staircase to the left. Other beams and partitions are blocked in, but the inner wall is believed to be timber-framed. The timber-framed gable end of the house is visible in the attic of the 18th-century outbuilding.
