Description

Orchard Cottage is a mid-18th century cottage constructed with a timber frame, clay lump, and some brick infill, topped with a pantiled roof. The building features a brick plinth and is one storey high with an attic. A 20th-century front porch has been added. On the left side, there are two renewed ground floor windows with glazing bars, while a small 20th-century window is located to the right in its original opening. The cottage has two gabled dormers with casement windows and a ridge stack positioned left of centre on the steeply pitched gabled roof. At the rear, there is a 20th-century porch and two windows, along with evidence of a blocked doorway directly opposite the front entrance. Lean-to outbuildings are present on either side of the cottage.
