Nant y Glyn

Nant y Glyn is a two-storey, two-window roadside cottage dating from the 18th century. It features a lobby entrance at the left end and is constructed with a timber frame on a rendered plinth, topped with a renewed slate roof and a brick stack at the end. The cottage has three tiers of box framing with diagonal braces in the upper tier, and the timbers are relatively narrow, with plastered panels. The gable end walls are made of random stone, while the rear is not visible.

The front of the cottage includes a simple boarded door on the far left and two small-pane iron windows, each with two lights and opening stays. There is a similar window on the left side of the upper storey, located just below the eaves. The west gable features a two-light wooden casement window set beneath a head of stone voussoirs, and there is a lean-to situated below it. Attached to the left end of the cottage is a single-unit outbuilding, likely a cow-house, which has a weather-boarded front with a boarded door on the right. The gable end of this outbuilding is made of stone and includes a weather-boarded gable with a loft hatch. The interior has not been seen during the resurvey.
