Description

A mirrored pair of 2-window 2-storey cottages with basements, Min y Nant left and Glandwr right. Constructed of random stone with quoins, slate-hung to front, under a slate roof with shared brick ridge stack, and cusped barge boards to gable ends. To the front, the entrances are slightly raised above the road level. The openings have segmental heads, the windows mainly small-pane wooden casements. Each cottage has a panelled door with overlight to the outer side, and a 3-light casement towards the centre. To the 1st floor, each cottage has a similar 3-light casement aligned towards the centre, and a 2-light casement with fan-light to the outer side. The rear of each cottage has a 3-light small-pane wooden casement under segmental stone head to the upper storey, the ground floor not seen.

In front of the cottages are forecourt walls of random stone with saddle-back brick copings, surmounted by narrow iron railings with arched tops. These retaining walls enclose small gardens; stone steps lead up to the entrances.

Min y nant has a 4-pane overlight above the front door; no basement openings were seen. Rear has a stairlight to far R. Adjoining the N gable end is a very short linking range to the Wesleyan chapel, weather-boarded and with a planked door to front.

Interior not seen at resurvey.
