Description
Commins Cottage is a single-storey cottage with three windows, built with a lobby entrance to the left of the center. The front features small-scantling timber-framing with two tiers of box panelling, partly covered with plaster. The roof is made of renewed slate and includes skylights, with a renewed red brick ridge stack. The entrance has a half-lit boarded door. There are three-light wooden casement windows located just below the eaves, with one to the left of the entrance and two to the right; there is also a small late 20th-century window at the far right. The west gable end was originally stone, but an additional unit was added to the left, featuring late box-panelling at the front and a two-light wooden casement window; its gable end is made of stone and is weather-boarded. A long single-storey extension is attached at the right end, running at right angles to the main structure. The rear of the cottage has not been seen during the resurvey.
