Description

The Dovecote at Pickhill Old Hall is a square building made of brown brick, resting on a heavy stone plinth. It features crow-stepped gables on each side. The low entrance on the north side was obscured by trees during the 1996 resurvey, when the Dovecote was found to be in a derelict and ruinous state, with significant movement cracks in the walls, collapsed plinth stones, and a damaged roof. At that time, it was reported to still have its pigeon recesses, but inspection was not possible.
