Description
The dovecote is a building made of rubble stonework with ashlar quoining at the corners. It stands two stages high, separated by a moulded string course, with another string course at the top. Currently, it has no roof. The dovecote has an octagonal shape, featuring a low entrance door with a depressed arched head on the southeast side, and a forced door on the north side. There are eight square windows.
Internally, the building is lined with whitewashed brick and contains 23 flight ledges, each with approximately 24 nest boxes above the sixth ledge, providing around 350 nests in total. The floor has been replaced with brick, and all signs of the potence have been removed. Most of the nest boxes are now blocked.
