Description

Talwrn House is a two-story, four-bay brick building dating to the 18th century. The house has a grey slate roof with wide projecting eaves and three chimney stacks topped with original chimney pots. A front porch features curved bargeboards, and the original doorcase remains. Internal shutters are present to the side windows. Bay windows are situated in the east and west end walls. The front elevation contains three original sixteen-pane sash windows on the ground floor, recessed within shallow relief semi-circular brick arches and topped with stone lintels. The second floor has three original six-pane sash windows and one blind window to the east. Attached single-story outhouses are located to the east and west returns of the property, alongside a stable block with a hayloft above and curved bargeboard, forming a rear yard. A survey in 1996 noted that internal inspection was not possible, and the house is said to contain few original features due to subdivision.
