Kitchen Garden Walls at Top y Fron Hall

The kitchen garden walls at Top y Fron Hall are a square enclosure made of brick, featuring flat stone copings. There are two entrances: one at the northern end of the eastern wall with a segmental-headed doorway, and another at the eastern end of the southern wall, which has a timber lintel and door-frame. The southern wall extends eastward with an additional doorway that has a flat-arched head and keystone, providing access to a garden path. This wall also projects westward, containing a doorway and steps that lead down to the kitchen yard, terminating at the stable block.

The western boundary of the garden is partly formed by the house and partly by an adjoining stone wall, which may be older. This stone wall is topped with a brick wall and features a lean-to that was once a service range for the house. The stone section has a former opening with a segmental head that is now blocked, while the brick section includes a small three-pane window on the right with a segmental head and butt joints on the left, along with a buttressed brick chimney to the left, which relates to former potting sheds. The lean-to range is constructed of brick under a slate roof, featuring a central boarded door flanked by two-light casements, and a set-back section to the left that adjoins the house, which has a boarded door and casement. The exterior of the southern garden wall includes buttresses and a lean-to greenhouse, likely added later, along with former cold frames against the eastern side.

Inside the lean-to range, the walls are primarily stone, and there are traces of a fireplace in the rear right corner.
