Description

The outbuilding, which includes former stables, is located at Top y Fron Hall and is dated to the 19th century. The stable block on the west side is a lofted structure with a shallow pitched roof that is hipped at the right end. It is built of brick and covered with a slate roof, featuring segmental-headed openings. The entrance is positioned slightly to the left of the center and has a boarded door. Above the entrance, there is a gabled dormer with slate-hung sides that contains a boarded loft hatch. The entrance is flanked by wooden windows, which have boarding behind vertical wooden slats, and 4-pane lights above. To the left of the entrance, there is another boarded door, which may have led to a former tack room. On the right end of the stable block, there is a wide carriage bay that now has a boarded sliding door. The west end of the building is incorporated into a brick boundary wall that faces the road. There is also a smaller range at the rear, of which only the pitched roof and a small brick ridge stack are visible.

Attached to the east end of the stable block is a lower single-storey range. This range is also constructed of brick and has a slate roof with a brick ridge stack. It features raised brick copings on the east gable end. The front has two windows, with a 12-pane sash window on the left and a 2-light wooden casement window under a segmental brick head on the right. The rear of this range is built into a bank and has a skylight in the roof pitch. The east end has a boarded door that is offset to the right, along with a small brick block in front. A boundary wall with a doorway extends towards the north and connects to the house. The interior has not been seen as of March 3, 2005.
