Description
The Gate Lodge is an L-shaped single-storey building designed in a simple Gothic style. It is constructed from rubble stone and features a hipped slate roof with swept projecting eaves. There is a single ridge stack located to the right of the center, along with two lateral stacks positioned behind. The front facade includes four windows with pointed heads, featuring Y-tracery that incorporates casements. At the right end, there is a doorway with a similar pointed head, leading to a boarded door with vertical ribs. The left-hand angle of the lodge is chamfered. On the right side wall, there are two 3-light casements, while the rear return wall has a single 2-light casement set under a segmental head. At the back, there is a flat-roofed projection, and to the right of this, an external stone stack is present.
