Description

6 Clwyd Street is a two-storey building with a four-window range and a basement on the left side, featuring a shop front that is offset to the right. The front is rendered over brick and topped with a slate roof, which has rendered end stacks, the left one being larger and external. There is a brick modillion eaves cornice. The windows are hornless 12-pane sashes set beneath flat heads.

On the ground floor, there is a sash window to the left and a round-arched doorway located left of center. This doorway has a raised flat porch canopy supported by consoles and contains a late 20th-century small-pane glazed door along with a decorative fan-light, which is likely original, accessible by five steps. To the right, the projecting shop front features a central inset half-glazed panelled door with a leaded overlight, flanked by splayed shop windows that have leaded glazing above the transoms. The shop front is topped with a heavy moulded cornice on tall brackets. At the far right, there is a segmental-headed doorway leading to a through-passage, which has a half-glazed panelled door with an overlight.

The basement on the left has a glazed door beneath a segmental head, reached by steps, and a 6-pane wooden window to its right. The visible part of the west gable end is made of painted rubble, while the left side features a rear wing constructed of rubble stone with a small lateral brick stack. The interior has not been seen.
