Description

The restored lychgate of Tremeirchion Parish Church features a timber roof with rafters that are tied only at the gable facing the church, supported by a strongly cambered tie-beam. The roof is covered with slate and includes bargeboards and simple finials. The timber structure rests on two side walls made of roughly axe-dressed limestone, which are buttressed by the churchyard wall. There is a single openwork timber gate at the outer gable. Inside, the lychgate has slate flagstones and side benches.
