Description
The Old School, now functioning as a Village Hall, is a single-storey building constructed from roughly axe-dressed local limestone, topped with a slate roof and a tile ridge. It is located on the boundary of Tremeirchion churchyard. The front of the building features a brick porch that includes an end window and a side door. The rear has undergone alterations and is made up of larger uncoursed masonry.
On the side that faces the forecourt of the Salusbury Arms, there are two square, three-light small-pane windows with cambered brick arched heads. The opposite side, which faces the churchyard, has a lean-to extension on the right. It also features two three-light casement windows in the original part, both with cambered brick arches, along with a two-light reduced window in the altered rear section. The central window on this side has leaded quarries and a small-pane casement in the center.
Additionally, there is a three-step mounting block attached to the school at the rear, facing the forecourt of the public house.
