Description
The barn range to the west of Glasmor is a long structure built from local rubble and topped with a continuous slate roof. It consists of three distinct building phases, with clear breaks in the masonry. The easternmost sections seem to be additional and are nearly contemporary to the main structure. The left section features a pair of stable entrances with exposed lintels and boarded doors, along with a small boarded light that has a pegged oak frame. The other two sections each have central boarded barn doors with exposed lintels, and the primary western block includes a ventilation slit to the left of its entrance. The eastern gable end is supported by concrete buttressing and has an ascending flight of steps leading to an upper boarded loading bay with an exposed lintel. Attached to the western end is a 20th-century two-bay open cart addition with a corrugated iron roof.
Inside, the original roof structure includes roughly-chamfered tie beams with curved raking struts, although some purlins have been replaced while most of the rafters remain original. The interior features half-rubble and part timber partitions, with earth and rough-flagged floors.
