Description

The building is a rectangular agricultural range located immediately south of Glasmor, dating from the 18th century. It consists of a primary section on the right and a later or rebuilt section on the left, both constructed of rubble. The primary part features coursed, rough-dressed local slate-stone and has a recently renewed continuous slated roof.

On the primary section's left side, there are two entrances with pegged wooden frames and boarded doors. The lower entrance has an exposed wooden lintel, and above it is an inset slate plaque inscribed with the date 1762 and the initials RMW. Under the eaves, there are two small unglazed windows with wooden frames, each having two lights. On the far right, there is an upper wooden-framed entrance with stone steps leading up to it.

The left-hand section includes a segmentally-arched entrance featuring slate-stone voussoirs and a pegged oak frame with a boarded door. Adjoining the left gable end is a later 19th-century lean-to, which has a low boarded and framed entrance facing the road.

The rear of the building is plain, with large corrugated iron doors leading to the lean-to section. At the time of the survey, the rear wall of the later section was found to have partly collapsed. Inside, the building has a four-bay layout with original pegged oak raking strut trusses and a plain joisted ceiling.
