Description
Eagle Stores is a three-storey building with five windows, located at 28-30 Clwyd Street. It has a slate roof and four clustered brick stacks, with two on the ridge towards the center and one at each end.
At 28 Eagle Stores, there is a two-window block featuring a shop front on the ground floor with accommodation above. The exterior is roughcast on a plinth, with sill bands and raised eared window surrounds. The mid to late 20th-century windows are four-pane and top-hung. The ground floor includes an entrance on the right, which is a half-glazed panelled door with small-pane glazing, situated under a gabled porch canopy supported by brackets. To the left, there is a long shop front, likely from the late 20th century, with openings defined by pilasters featuring gothic-style panels and moulded capitals. This supports a plain fascia and a bracketed cornice. The shop front also includes a half-glazed door on the left and two large plain-glazed shop windows on the right. The rear of the building has large late 20th-century extensions.
Inside, there is a substantial medium-chamfered spine beam and a modernized fireplace on the left.
